What Is Renunciation?
There is a connection between awareness and renunciation, just having the ability to recognize that some desires are bad and some desires are good. And when we recognize that the will wants something that might not be good for us, we've got to kind of do that work of going into the desert for a little while. It's funny as it is to say it, that's actually a little painful to do because we want to do it. We desire it. But once we have it, we simply desire do with the will. That same principle applies to other things, like rivalry. Like i'm caught up in this rivalry with this other person. You know, i'm going to deny myself
