The Consequences of Mindfulness

In ancient Buddhist terms, they call they said that the cycle is perpetuated through ignorance. And then in modern day, I think of this as that cycle being perpetuated through subjective bias. The more we perform the behavior, whether it's eating chocolate or thinking, you know, this is the right view, the more we become identified with that. That transcendence is called reaching the state of Nirvana. One might not be able to scan for Nirvana in an MRI, what would a person who was trying to achieve it look like? Daniel Gohlman and Richard Davidson are both experienced meditators but also hail from the world of academic research.
