I think sometimes having a bit of an understanding about their goals, and that can be really key. So I think that really early on can be quite powerful for the patient. And so you're getting them moving within that comfortable, what they're finding is an acceptable level of pain. You should see that sort of real just that progress should go. There shouldn't be as much swelling, there shouldn’t be as much pain, and you keep progressing it on.
Untreated or poorly rehabilitated ankle sprains can develop into chronic ankle instability (CAI), osteoarthritis, or other lower limb injuries (Bestwick-Stevenson et al. 2021; Delco et al., 2017; Herzog et al., 2019; van Ochten et al., 2017).
