Socrates says, yeah, granted, nobody argues that murderers should be punished. But they do argue about their guilt, right? How can you prove to the gods? Like how can you prove that all of the gods approve of the act that you are doing,. That your dad is actually guilty?" And so Socrates offers this refinement: Maybe we should just give it another definition, what all the gods love is pious or holy. What some of them love and others hate is neither or both. Okay then the clear problem is your middle category, right? Yeah.
