The Effects of Soy on Hormones

Soy does not contain estrogen. Phytoestrogen is essentially a plant compound that can attach to the same receptor as estrogen in the body. There are studies for and against... It's all very weak evidence. If you're still worried about soy, then that's okay. You don't have to eat soy. And instead of eating soy-based tempeh or whatnot, you can have chickpeas and lentils and things like that. It's not the end of the world. I think there's nothing to be concerned by having a small amount of soy,. particularly if it's non-GMO soy, which is organic."
