What Happens When You Taste a Coffee?

Professor Charles Spence is head of the Cross-Model Research Laboratory at Oxford University. He says that when we taste coffee, we're mostly just checking that what we're tasting is what we expected it to taste in the first place. When you actually taste my gut feel, a bit sort of simplified version, is you're justchecking that what you imagined you were going to taste is what you, in fact, do taste.
