OCD - Thoughts Are Not as Bad as Actions

One of the key things for someone with o c d to come to understand if they are to experience any relief of their symptoms, is that thoughts are not as bad as actions. The big difference between a thought and an action is that, in one case, the nervous system isn't translating those patterns of thinking into motor sequences. That nirty way of saying thoughts aren't actions, blieve it or not, can be helpful for people,. If they really think about that and use it as an opportunity to realize that, first of all, they're not crazy. They're not thinking and feeling this stuff because they're bad or evil.
