Is It Adaptation or Evolutionary Ajustement?

In magic, like everybody is constantly and sometimes trying to be as high status as they can. It happens to be through accomplishment, much more so than in other contexts. In many other contexts, i thinkt like yit, everybody has a good sense of like, what the correct status hierarchy should be. But there's much less of this here. I want to regulate the group. You don't necessarily want to be higher status than your boss. That creates problems.
