How to Stay Hydrated During Physical Activity
Youth are particularly at risk for becoming dehydrated as they have very high metabolic and energy demands. Hydration isn't just about drinking more water, it also involves ingesting enough electrolytes either through food or supplementation. Electrolytes are essential minerals such as sodium, calcium, and potassium which not only keep you hydrated, but are good for things like improving reaction time.
