How to Roast Chicken

This is seen as a classic rotisserie-style chicken, a roast chicken. Is there any kind of twist or variation on this classic method that people could do? Could you season it with, I don't know, peri-peri seasoning or dressing? You can even just get some curry powders and get loads of different spices. What about leftovers? I think shred it up during lockdown.
