Using a Banker Process to Negotiate a Deal?

The letter of intent is what we typically use when we're more proactively approaching a deal. As you get to that point, than thet process gets pretty familiar. Although it sounds like it's better to have a proprietary deal than a banked one. If you can control your time lines and maybe just have some leverage over terms. But my perspective is, i love to find those proactive deals where it's not a competitive process with seven other companies looking at it.
