The Strength of the Labor Force in a Stable Labor Force Participation Rate
Even though we've been adding jobs at a steady pace, some of that is being offset by those reductions in hours. If I look at the participation rate, the percent of the labor force that's out there looking for work or working, it's flat as a pancake; 62.6%. It's down from its pre-pandemic 63.3,. But yeah, we've seen this big pickup in labor force, which means, doesn't it, that the growth in working age population is strong?"
