When you combine a pc s k inhibitor with the staton, you actually do get a reduction of l p little whereas staton by itself is anywhere from no reduction to an actual increase. The best explanation that i understood from tom was that l p little a will get cleared by l d l receptors eventually, but it's just the last in line. And that also probably speaks to the fact that we know that l pLittleA is cleared by different receptors.
