I think we're moving away from that purist type way of imagining what the user experience should be. And instead, recognizing that we have a wide variety of people with various abilities and needs and wants. We need to give them an experience that works for them. That seems like a lot of work. Yes and no. The lovely thing about Reddit is that the participants in the community get to have a voice in the way that they do not in any other form or communication system. So it lets moderation be done with a bit more of a free hand because the community has a very easy way to express what they would like and expect from posts and comments.
