They pioneered an entirely new genre called mid core, which found a real home on mobile and has been an incredibly successful genre. The Rovio guys also kind of misunderstood the nature of their success, I think. It's useful to sometimes look at the counter example when you're seeing why these companies worked or why they didn't.
