"I used to do like all my runs on hard surfaces. And then I started noticing that all these pros were doing all this volume," he says. "It's so obvious to you guys, but I didn't notice this at all." If you did a primarily soft surface run twice a week, your body would be less beat up and recover better than if you ran the same way every day for two weeks.
