Reading Literature in Times of Need - Connecting With the Present Moment

One of the great benefits of reading great literature is that, in and of itself, it affords you a chance to ground yourself in the present moment. When you read with all of yourself, you find stillness. For me, i would learn about irish poetry, gaelic poetry. I w'ld learn about that tradition because it would connect me to my ancestors,. And it would give me a sense of perspective that i can lean on in times of need. Yes. Although i say pick one, but it actually picks you.
