One of the signs of obstructive sleep apnea is nocturia. Cortisol inhibits the body's ability to reabsorb free water in the kidney. In some cases, people pee more at nights than they do in the day. When under stress, your cortisol levels are high. And so what happens is, is that free water that would normally be reabsored back into the body gets dumped into the urine.
