Sleep Is Important for Brain Function
Up until the age of two, children spend more time asleep than they spend awake. We know that sleep affects things like the brain's ity to recover from injury. The glymphatic system in the brain only operates during sleep. Every cell in the body has circadian clocksa and those have to be synchronized with each other.
