How to Lower the Cost of Health Care
Dr. K: I think that people are more inclined in my experience to make a behavior change if they paid for a service. The, the crux and the interesting nuance about lifestyle is the psychology of behavior change. If we're really wanting to promote behavior change, I feel like there's a value exchange that does need to occur. Might sound a bit like tough love. And it might go against this idea of, you know, universal access to health care. That's not something that I disagree with. It's reasonable to charge them a fee and get that psychological buy in into lifestyle change.
