The Importance of Tempo Sprints in High Jumping
I'm honestly built more like a javelin Thorr than a high jumper in the first place. The big gateway for me to get back to one leg jumping is actually more tempo sprints like 150s and 200s, he says. I think there's something put into the training early that maybe they were predisposed with their structure that caused them to hit a harder fall versus a single leg jump. If you let your knee go in in the single leg hurdle hop you're just gonna fall or you're gonna hurt yourself so the body has to supinate or externally rotate really hard it has to actually be pulling pressure towards that outside of the foot that does resist the ground to manage
