There were fewer sexually transmitted diseases ancestrally when humans had fewer clothes, because skin to skin contact was more common. The advent of clothing really made it harder for those that were transmitted through skin-to-skin contact and so they started to become sexual. One of the most reliable ways to get skin to Skin contact is to be transmitted through sex. So this second law of parnor dynamics may well have some valid basis.
