There's a kind of search that you can do where you're saying like, I'm going to roll out my intuition and see without really thinking what are the better decisions I can make farther down the path? What would I do if I just acted according to intuition for the next 10 moves? And that gets you an improvement. But I think there's much richer kinds of planning that we could do.
