The Role of Roguelikes in Warcraft III
There's no fog of war there's no obfuscated no hidden information I just show you everything and that's intentional. The game just sucks if you have really long corridors because you have to zoom out to see if someone's coming even if they can't shoot you from miles away like in hotland Miami. We had to restrict each sector into these little rectangular chunks that are roughly the same aspect ratio as your screen. Everything in that chunk is rectangles with lines through them and that's it for heat signature.
