How to Target Hamstrings

How did you figure out how to mentally connect with the hamstrings? I lean my quad into the pad slightly, kind of contract my glute a little bit as I stretch the hamstring up. And that's kind of what I found works for me. Just laying, laying a little bit into my quad. It just takes my quads. It prevents my quads from doing anything. Then I'm able to just use my hamstring to a little bit of glute, but my hamstring to activate it as I curl it up.
