Is There a Need for Evidential Marking?

In some languages, evidentials don't have to exist in your entire verb system. So, it might be omitted in some tenses. For example, an evidential for the future doesn't make much sense. In some languages, if there's a core argument, either the subject or direct object is first person that might also remove any need for evidential marking because it's kind of redundant.
