The Importance of Specificity in Rehabilitation
If you want to get something stronger, what's the specificity of that? What's the overload required? We know we need to lift heavy stuff for a short duration or a few repetitions. So optimizing that input-output equation versus if you do, you can do lower resistance for longer sets,. but potentially the adaptation you might get might be compromised. If it's not working worst case scenario, which bits are maybe helping, which bits aren't and are they counteracting one another? It's a lot more difficult to tell in my view. Definitely.
