If you're really trying to improve sprints, you'll do that work. It can be intentional at times. As long as you have enough lycagen, that fat's not that that's not hurting you or requiring you to go at a lower intensity. The biggest thing with this is you just want to make sure that you're not consuming fat at the expense of consuming carbs.
