Tuck and yang writes that slavery in settler colonial contects is distinct from other forms of indenture,. The violence of keeping killing the chattel slave makes them death like monsters in the settler imagination. As if settler colonialism also becomes important for understanding how anti blackness in the united states is constituted through chattel slavery.
