Ri: Some of the early adoptors of the gamification method, they were selling a vision of gaming that was really divorced from the reality of what people enjoyed about it. I would say find some one you know who loves a game. Ask them what their favorite game is right now and what they love about it. These are the types of things that are make something really feel like a game. And we don't need an industry of software - we need people to understand the psychology, the authentic experience. We need experience, designers, not gamification.
