Is There a Truth in Rest Periods?
The best type of recovery from exercises that produce a lot of lactic acid is doing some light work or some active sort of rest. So during your recovery period, you might want to just slow jog or something like that - but in a low intensity sort of manner. That could help just keep the blood flow and flush some of that alactic acid out,. ad get it back in therefor the next session and ready. And i've played with this a little bit with myself, of what i do during my rest periods in both sprint days and on heavy lift days.
