Emotional Labor Isn't Expensive

As companies get bigger, that's what they want us to do, please go away. The woman who got the flowers from zappos wasn't moved because the flowers were expensive. That wasn't what it was about. Emotional labor isn't expensive. And humans can smell it. They know it when it's in the room. So our opportunity of small business people is not to give a discount,. It's not to be the cheapest and maybe it's not even to spend an unlimited amount of time with people. If we can do those things, that's wagh better than trying to buy the affection of those we seek.
