Asking why questions can be dangerous because people are not very self where as with interview questions, aiming to understand a customer's goals helps dive at motivation more explicitly. Asking how someone's last flight experience on an american carrier was will yield more interesting results than how satisfied were you with your flight? Make sure that if you ask for a detailed answer, you don't set a low character limit on your survey's answer box.
