Tim Lister is a professor of genetics at King's College of London. He has published five books and over 800 research articles. In 2020, he was awarded an Order of the British Empire award for his contributions to epidemiologists. His father died when he was still a medical student; that made him determined to do something with his life. But another event hit him about 12 years ago now while doing some ski touring in Italy.
“Our food decisions,” writes Dr. Tim Spector in his new book, Food for Life, “are the single most important modifiable factor in preventing common diseases and staying healthy.” But how do we know we’re making the right choices? In this episode, we dig into what scientists like Tim have learned about what we should eat — and why.
