The Fitness Fatigue Model
The fitness fatigue model is that after a workout, or series of workouts, what happens as we get a bump in fitness from the training adaptation. But overtime, those two things diverge. Fitness a should either keep going up a little bit from accumulated gains, or stay about the same. The art of puridization comes into play, because you're balancing the adaptations you're getting from certain things with the fatigue you're getting. And hopefully, if you do it right, timing it so that adaptations are maximized for whatever matters to you.
