How to Stop a Microburst Into a Cloud
The crew initiated the approach into an area of convective activity that, based on information from other sources, was not considered to be threatening. The airplane had a wind shear alert system on board, but the softwar was inadequate and was not able to warn the crew early enough for them to make a better go around decision. It turns out that the software logic delayed warnings while flaps were transition so there was, it's just like a bug in the software where if the flaps were changing from one setting to another, the winsher alerts were delayed. That's a important bug, right?
