How Engaged Are You in the Thing You're Doing Right Now?
People have traditionally thought of attention as just being two types. And it's a lot more nuanced than that, and what also matters is how challenging something is to you. We find that when people are highly challenged and highly engaged at something, we call that being focused. If you're not at all challenged and not engaged, that's boredom. You're just bored. But if you're very challenged at something, but you're just not engaged, we label this frustration.
