Andrew's New Treatment for Endometriosis Could Be Life-Changing
The cells lining the pelvis are producing a substance that promotes endometriosis lesions. It's called lactate or lactic acid and builds up in your muscles when you're doing strenuous exercise. Andrew is looking for existing drugs that could potentially target lactate production. After successful lab-based studies, he trialled the drug in a small group of women. Excitingly, many patients are reporting an improvement in their symptoms.
