How to Overcome Procrastination

The Instagram co-founder Kevin Systrom calls it his five minute rule. He says, if there's something I don't want to do or have been putting off, I promise myself that I will work on it for five minutes and at the end of five, I can quit. And by extension, usually end up benefiting other people as well. The trick is just to take a step back and say, okay, those things exist. What little things can I do to overcome that so that I get started on the things that I want to do? Because again, momentum is everything where procrastination is concerned.
