Never disclose that you have the power to do anything. Don't let your ego get in the way of doing good, says Buss. If a deal doesn't make sense for our organization, we're happy to support you and help you look for alter atives. The one thing that every sales person needs to stop doing immediately is believing that relationship comes first. And it's important to be polite and professional and all that kind of stuff but the deal's got to make sense first and foremost.
