Frieli is in the northeast of Italy, near where you grew up. In its cuisine, Frieli has a mixture of Austrian, Hungarian and Slavic foods. They make burrata there with pickled turnips; it's like sauerkraut. Mousetos is this delicious sausage that in Emilia Romagna they call it kotikino.
