VC Funds Shouldn't Hold Publicly Traded Shares
Some firms will charge 15 to like 30% of carry. Tristan Horwitz charges three and 30%. But yeah, I always thought that was really interesting. And I also don't understand what like a VC fund would do holding publicly traded shares. Like if you're a leer hippo, your mandate is to go out and invest in up and coming businesses. If this is a publicly traded stock, you should give it to your investors because basically now they can decide what to do with it. It just blows my mind that the fidelities of the world might still be holding on to it.
