It's not a bad thing when you only lose potentially a small amount of a propulsive contribution from the legs. And especially for long distance triathlon, saving your legs a little bit. It also does provide some balance and it's a counterbalance to the, to the arms. In general, I would say that stroke rates are going to tend to start to rise a bit once you get into open water, especially in any kind of chop.
