What Is a Learner's Talking?
We wanted to identify tollkit of strategies that students can just take up and use. And what we wanted to do is to train them those strategies that give students the best return on ther time and effort invested. What are those strategies, those high utility strategies? In particular, the strategies that ar low utility? That's where we came to the identification of the six strategies. We also reviewed the work of the learning scientists, apuja aga, who's in a retrieval practice her organization,. The helooked at what they were doing and looked into what they were identifying as those high yield strategies. Rather than re invent the wheel, we just took what the experts were saying the preferred strategies
