The exercise that we did was to learn to accelerate into the sticking point and through the sticking point. Acceleration is a change in speed, so if you want to go from 30 miles an hour to 50 it's going to take a huge amount of force. So when something accelerates, and I use that car example of you're going 30 miles anhour. It does take a lot of force to maintain that speed.
