The Importance of Adult Literacy Training in Shanghai
The literacy program in Shanghai was designed to avoid political indoctrination and cultivate sympathy towards the party. In Guangzhou, they take a more affirmative stance in terms of the want to have the least real training as part of civic education. This approach had another pragmatic advantage because it could have the party evade censorship by war wars and does give them opportunities to get close to the masses and develop itself. organizing the adult literacy training was also helpful to forge ties among members of this newly formed hybrid party.
