When your husband treats you like a roommate, it feels cold and lonely. You didn’t get married to have a roommate! You got married to enjoy each other’s company, to enjoy passion, and if you’re anything like me, to feel desired. At least it was for me, because I felt like it was proof that I wasn’t desirable, which I wasn’t, and that our marriage was falling apart, which it was. Work. It did not make him pull me in for a kiss and whisk me away to the bedroom, which is what I secretly wanted. That was painful.
