The Absorption Rate in the First 90 Minutes of a Six Hour Race?

I would assume and I believe it's true that you can absorb more in the first 90 minutes than you can in the final 90 minutes of a six hour event. So that plan needs to start from the start. You don't wait an hour and a half to start the plan. Exactly. Especially in hot races where your blood is needed in the muscles, but also in the skin to cool down. It means there's less blood in the GI tract and absorption therefore can sometimes be limiting. This is why I don't like the advice that is sometimes given drink to thirst because although in a lot of situations that may work in this sort of situation,. so personally, I wouldn't do that
