Introduction
The Odyssey is a 24 book poem, obviously an unusual 24 book poem. It's named after its hero and he is quite a flawed hero let's say in so far as women avoid him like the plague. The word Odyssey is misused a lot to mean going off on an adventure when of course it means a journey home. So Odysseus actually gets home, spoiler alert, in book 13 of a 24 book poems.
