The Genius of Thomas Sowell

CHAPTER

The Options of a Lone Farmer

A lone man farming a vast expanse of land has a limited number of options as to how he will work this land. Or he may decide that he will get more total output by cultivating only half of the land and putting more intensive labor there. Which of the two approaches he will use will depend on how the various considerations balance out in the individual case.
